F1 Telehandler

Workers at George Wimpey's Selwood Grove development, on Butts Hill, Frome are showing support to Jenson Button as he competes for Brawn GP in the 2009 FIA Formula One World Championship.

UK Forks supplied a 17m JCB machine that was customised with go faster stripes and the workers donned masks of their hero to show their support to him in the current season.

Button was born in Frome, Somerset in 1980 and attended Selwood Middle School so has a lot of local support. Site manager Bill Wright said "We are backing our boy all the way!"

 

George Wimpey's Selwood Grove development are taking the racing car theme even further by giving buyers at the development, who purchase in September, the chance win an ultimate racetrack driving day. The chance to drive the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, the Lamborghini Gallardo, the Ferrari 430 or the Porsche 911 Turbo is sure to get the adrenaline pumping! Richard Goad, regional sales and marketing director for George Wimpey said "The town has a strong link to motorsport, so we wanted to offer our purchasers the chance to try out their own skills on the track"
